LEE RAGLAND

As director of public relations, Lee oversees a staff of seven professionals providing issues management solutions for a variety of clients. Lee came to GodwinGroup after a 19-year career as an award-winning journalist at the Pulitzer Prize-winning Clarion-Ledger. His background gives him insight to the type of stories reporters want and also how to best pitch stories to editors and place clients in targeted media. He has a close working relationship with media throughout the region, helping to better serve clients in the telecom, insurance and tourism industries. He spearheaded the award-winning Mississippi Valley Gas safety campaign and headed the PR teams for Mississippi Power, Mississippi Department of Transportation, State Farm and Cellular South, the largest privately held wireless carrier in the United States. Lee also provides media training to staffers at varying organizational levels of leading companies.
